9 July, 2019

Dear CHIFA colleagues,

On behalf of the HIFA and CHIFA Steering Groups, I am delighted to welcome the Japanese Society for Social Medicine (JSSM) as a new HIFA and CHIFA Supporting Organisation: http://www.hifa.org/support/supporting-organisations/japanese-society-so...

'The Japanese Society for Social Medicine was developed from the former Research Society for Social Medicine started in 1960 and renamed in 1999. At present, the society has several hundred members who are engaged in the diverse areas of welfare and education as well as health care. Purpose: This society aims to promote and develop various research projects on theoretical aspects of social medicine and their application through cooperation among members. Activities: 1) General scientific meeting (held once a year) 2) Official journal of Bulletin of Social Medicine 3) Letter of Social Medicine (issued three times a year)' Website: http://jssm.umin.jp/english.html

There are now *331* Supporting Organisations worldwide committed to the HIFA vision: a world where every person and every health worker has access to the healthcare information they need to protect their own health and the health of others. The full list, with profiles, is available here: http://www.hifa.org/support/supporting-organisations

If YOUR organisation would like to add your voice to support HIFA, please apply here:

Supporting Organisations are under no obligation to provide financial support but we are dependent on the generosity of those who can afford to make a contribution. The logos of current financial contributors are displayed proudly on the HIFA home page: www.hifa.org

Every new HIFA Supporting Organisation moves us closer to our goal: a future where every person has access to the healthcare information they need to protect their own health and the health of others.

Best wishes, Neil
