Coronavirus (598) WHO app for health workers on COVID19 (2)

14 May, 2020

Dear colleagues –

The WHO Academy has launched its mobile app designed to enable health workers to expand their life-saving skills to battle the COVID-19 pandemic. It delivers mobile access to a wealth of COVID-19 knowledge resources developed by WHO, including up-to-the-minute guidance, tools, training, and virtual workshops to support health workers in caring for patients infected by COVID-19 and in protecting themselves as they do their critical work. The app is built around the needs expressed by 20,000 global health workers in a WHO Academy survey conducted in March of 2020. It has content in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian.

Resources related to quality including those on maintaining essential health services, IPC and occupational health, case management, community engagement and many others are available on the app.
