The Community Health Workers Thematic Working Group of Health Systems Global is inviting individuals to please share their learnings and resources that aim to recognise - and ssupport - the mental wellbeing of community health workers (CHWs) woorking in low- and middle-income countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.
These resources are being collated these via a short survey (<10 minutes). We would be so grateful for your input, so please COMPLETE THE SURVEY HERE by Monday 8 June. http://bit.ly/CHWsmentalhealthSURVEY
The goal of this survey, which we have developed with partner The George Institute for Global Health [https://www.georgeinstitute.org/], is to identify the particular challenges facing CHWs and to assess what resources are available to help them manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and broader mental distress during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are also collecting ideas for such interventions that have not been previously implemented.
Depending on the responses that we receive, we may be back in contact with you for further details or for outreach purposes.
We are hoping to reach as many relevant individuals and groups working with CHWs as possible so please do share this email with your networks and we would be delighted if you might help promote the survey on Twitter. You can follow progress updates with #CHWMentalHealth and please feel free to use the sample tweet below with supporting image(s) attached: [*Note from HIFA moderator: HIFA does not carry attachments. Please contact David for details]
