The 17th International Conference on Communication in Healthcare 2019 will feature research, education, and teaching innovations in communication in healthcare. We are excited that ICCH 2019 is being offered in collaboration with the Health Literacy Annual Research Conference (HARC), International Shared Decision Making Society (ISDM), International Health Literacy Association (IHLA) and our colleagues in the field of health communication including those affiliated with KCHC/DCHC.

We would like to invite you to submit scientific abstracts and proposals for workshops, symposia, and creative arts. ICCH aims to create a learning community that fosters scholarship and interprofessional collaboration to advance knowledge and innovation in communication in healthcare and relationship-centered care. We welcome submissions related to communication and relationships in healthcare, including all health-related disciplines and health professions (nurses, physicians, pharmacists, social workers, therapists, counselors, community health workers, patients, social scientists, etc.).

Presentations will be organized around the topic areas. When submitting your abstract or proposal, you will be asked to identify a key term from the list below corresponding to a primary theme and secondary theme (if relevant) to facilitate organization of presentations.
