HIFA Fundraising Appeal Launch: a resounding success!

15 March, 2019

Dear HIFA Colleagues

I am delighted to report that our Fundraising Appeal got off to a great start yesterday evening. The HIFA office in Charlbury welcomed a large group of people of all ages from Charlbury and beyond, all keen to find out more about our work and how they could get involved. HIFA members shared their own personal journeys to HIFA and what it meant to them. This sparked a lively discussion, with excellent questions from the audience, some of whom were actively involved in initiatives to support low- and middle-income countries. Many of them stayed for post-event drinks and refreshments to continue the conversation and we left the HIFA office with an impressive mailing list of potential members/supporters. We'll be following up on these in the next few days. Photos and video clips from the evening to follow.

In the meantime, we would urge all HIFA members to consider holding their own fundraising events. A coordinated approach from as many of us as possible could yield great results. The HIFA Fundraising Working Group can advise you on all aspects of preparation, publicity etc.

Let's make this a GLOBAL call for support and boost HIFA's capacity to achieve the HIFA Vision!

On behalf of the HIFA Fundraising Working Group
