July's update on CABI's Global Health interface - Focus on Vaccine Hesitancy

8 July, 2019

Dear HIFA colleagues

CABI'S GLOBAL HEALTH IS NOW MORE THAN A DATABASE.

Our new online site allows you to browse and search public health research information, alongside news and alerts. Our aim is to keep you on top of public health developments from around the world.

Each month our new Global Health site has a monthly focus on an important public health issue and provides a related news item, a useful smart search, and a selection of focussed records, book chapters and CAB reviews.

JULY'S FOCUS TOPIC IS VACCINE HESITANCY.

It features a news article "Vaccines: a crisis of confidence in some countries threatens world health", based on the recently published Wellcome Global Monitor's conclusion that high income countries have lower levels of confidence in vaccines than low income countries, with Europe the least confident region in the world.

The news article can be read here: http://bit.ly/2JlCtHJ

Other news articles can be found on 6 theme pages and 7 regional pages. These include:

Infectious diseases: "Ebola preparedness at risk due to inadequate funding"

Disease vectors & Entomology: "Antimicrobial resistance at the wildlife-livestock-human interface in Nairobi"

Health & Wellbeing: "Falsified medicines stolen in Italy potentially put patients at risk in UK"

Middle East & North Africa: "Mass cholera vaccination underway in Somalia"

Latin America & Caribbean: "New method to classify brain tumour in children"
