Dear Neil and HIFA, I agree with Eric that Librarians can save the world in terms of data and information. They store necessaray info. Remember How the Alexandrian principle indicates that an Alexandrian librarian was anxious to collect all the books in the world (Ian H Witten, David Bainbridge, 2003 p.15). Indeed we should love Libraries because they have the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties such as man made disasters such as terrorist attacks, nuclear accidents demand informed decisions from libraries as such we should love libraries as sources of information and data as memories of the world.
