I concur with the comment on @unhealthy diets. Indeed there is no doubt that nutrition plays a big role in the etiology of NCDs, and salt being just one of the many other dietary factors. With the nutrition transition as a result of urbanization and westernization in most LMICs, it is cardinal that messages and interventions go beyond just talking about salt intake.
