WHO releases first guideline on digital health interventions (12)

23 April, 2019

Dear HIFA colleagues,

(with thanks to Amanda BenDor)

1. The new WHO guideline - recommendations on digital interventions for health system strengthening [https://apps.who.int/iris/bitstream/handle/10665/311941/9789241550505-en... - has 10 main recommendations, and I would like to invite discussion and debate on some of these.

For example, Recommendation 10 states: Digital provision of training and educational content to health workers via mobile devices/mobile learning (mLearning)

'WHO recommends the provision of learning and training content via mobile devices /mLearning to complement, rather than replace, traditional methods of delivering continued health education and post-certification training'

Best wishes, Neil
