African Health Policy Network

The AHPN is the leading policy organisation that influences policy on health and wellbeing issues that affect Africans in the UK. We are a network of membership organisations and individuals with a common goal to improve the health and wellbeing of the UK's African population. The AHPN acts as a focal point and catalyst for individuals and organisations in the African community, providing platforms to share learning and experience, to influence policy and to speak with a collective voice.

WHO Collaborating Centre for Knowledge Translation & Health Technology Assessment in Health Equity

In 2007, the Centre for Global Health at the University of Ottawa was designated as the WHO Collaborating Center for Knowledge Translation and Health Technology Assessment in Health Equity. The Centre promotes the concept of technology assessment, the establishment of technology assessment systems, methodological support, training seminars in member countries, and collaborating among institutions with similar intent. To date, the Centre has focused on the development of a "tool kit" for needs-based and equity-oriented policy decisions and decision-aids for patient information.

Partnerships in Health Information

Phi been in existence since 1992 as an independent charity and is now a programme of the Centre for Global Health at the University of Winchester. Operating as a development consultancy, Phi’s activities cover the whole span of health information – health communications, health promotion, health education, knowledge management, and work in national planning and policy-making. Phi acts in response to expressed country needs, promoting country leadership in health information, and working directly with national organizations and networks.
