Adamu Musa Abubakar

Abubakar Adamu Musa is a development worker with an indigenous NGO in Kaduna state Nigeria known as Al-Asas Health Foundation where he doubles as the Senior Program Officer and communication coordinator. He is the founder of Every Life Matters and its sister project in Hausa language tagged Kowani Rai Na Da Muhimmanci. He also founded Public Health Live, a health literacy resources center online. Abubakar started his career as a clinical Nurse Practitioner with a General Hospital in Zaria, Northwest Nigeria and went on to acquire further clinical experience with rural hospitals across Kaduna state Nigeria. He has since moved into Public and Global Health as well as development work generally. He was a social media and communication strategy team member for the National Immunization Programme in Kaduna state, a member of the Antenatal Clinic (ANC) sentinel survey conducted in 2010 by KADSACA and a member of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey for Kaduna state Health Performance Report in 2014. He has major interests in health communication, digital health, epidemiology and infectious diseases and health technology and innovation.
