PUBLIC HEALTH FOR THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY:

ANALYSIS, ADVOCACY AND ACTION

In a series of eight plenary sessions we will explore how public health can contribute to the future of humanity. We look at what happened to our principles of the Enlightenment: evidence and reason. How can we work together with other sectors to tackle global threats? What does public health leadership entail? How can we improve the qualities of our health systems and workforce? Are we communicating evidence in policy actionable terms? How do we deal with social media and the ‘infodemics’ phenomenon? Plenary speakers include a.o.: Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (WHO), Natasha Azzopardi Muscat (WHO Europe), Maurício Barreto (Brazil), Jan Beagle (IDLO), Sara Cerdas (MEP), Katarzyna Czabanowska (Netherlands), Roopa Dhatt (Women in Global Health), Desmond D’Sa (South Africa), Josep Figueras (European Observatory), Summer May Finlay (Australia), Walter Flores (Guatemala), Sandro Galea (United States), Sir Andy Haines (United Kingdom), Clayton Hamilton (WHO), Bronwyn King (Australia), Richard Horton (The Lancet), Stephen Klasko (United States), Hans Kluge (WHO Europe), Rüdiger Krech (WHO), Stella Kyriakides (European Commission), Laura Magaña (ASPPH), Patricio Marquez (The World Bank), Isabel de la Mata (European Commission), Precious Matsoso (South Africa), Martin McKee (United Kingdom), John Middeleton (ASPHER), Chris Murray (IHME), Iveta Nagyova (EUPHA), Gita Sen (India), Luís Eugênio de Souza (Brazil), Sheila Tlou (Botswana), Katherine Trebeck (WEAll)
