As we all know, India is facing a catastrophic second wave of COVID-19 with positive cases multiplying at a deadly rate with each passing day. One of the worst affected cities at this time is Mumbai, Maharashtra. Here is an interesting study conducted in Mumbai in 2020 that primarily looked into the probable reasons that make a certain group of people more susceptible to this disease among the Indian population. It also justifies the ongoing vaccination strategy adopted by the government that gave initial preference to people with certain health conditions.
