'Facebook and YouTube took down a video by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro in which he claimed that Covid-19 vaccines were associated with developing AIDS...'

"We removed a video from Jair Bolsonaro's channel for violating our medical disinformation policies on Covid-19 by claiming that vaccines do not reduce the risk of contracting the disease and that they cause other infectious diseases," YouTube said in a statement sent to AFP.

Comment (NPW): It beggars belief how Bolsonaro and other heads of state worldwide are ignoring the science and spreading dangerous misinformation. Now more than ever people need to be protected from such misinformation, together with access to reliable information and the ability to tell the difference. More specifically, how can the current system be changed so that heads of state can no longer act with impunity in denial of public health imperatives?
