Here is the link to my latest Op-Ed entitled "COVID-19: A gender-based analysis".
It analyzes the effects of COVID-19 crisis through a gender lens. It discusses how the COVID-19 lockdown has inequitably is affecting the women due to the pre-existing gender inequalities, which are exacerbating many gender-based disparities. Moreover, it analyses women's access to essential health services, economic well-being, gender-based violence and sexual and reproductive health services amid the COVID-19 crisis. It concludes that Covid-19 actors should take a gender lens into account within their programme planning and implementation. Furthermore, measures to address gender-based violence and child protection also need to be integrated with the outbreak response to COVID-19.
