Defining global health as public health somewhere else (2)

25 January, 2020

Dear all,

The proposed definition of global health has really captured my attention. [http://dx.doi.org/10.1136/bmjgh-2019-002172]

"Global health is Public health somewhere else". With just some few words and it is done! I am sure students will like it as a definition. Public health experts also take it as very straight forward and to the point.

What is happening somewhere (health wise be it human, animal or environment) and may not mean much to you at the moment may reach you no matter the time (sooner or later).

Bravo to the authors.

Best.
