I first heard about NU Solidario when I was presenting at the ICMCC (International Council of Medical Compunetics) in Amsterdam in 2016. Since then I have attended a number of their workshops in Gran Canaria. I have cc'd Luis Falcon who is the director of GNU Solidario.
"GNU Solidario is an Non-for-profit organization that works globally, delivering health and education with Free Software. Since 2006 we have been involved in humanitarian projects of different nature that had one thing in common: Free Software.
Our main points of interest
Luis Falcon, president of GNU Solidario, founded the organization with one goal : To deliver
Health and Education with Free Software. Health and education are basis for development and dignity of societies. These are just some of the activities and projects we do:
GNU Health [https://www.gnuhealth.org/]: The Free Health and Hospital Information System. GNU Health is award-winning HIS that has been declared an official GNU package by the Free Software Foundation and adopted by the United Nations University.
IWEEE [https://www.gnuhealthcon.org/2019-liege/]: International Workshop on e-Health in Emerging Economies. IWEEE is an annual conference for Free (Freedom) Software in Healthcare and Social Medicine advocates.
