Introduction: Sayo Eweje, USA - Critical Healthcare Information Integration Network

2 June, 2021

Hi all,

My name is Sayo Eweje, I'm a second-year medical student at Harvard Medical School and a new member of HIFA! I'm also a cofounder and managing director of the Critical Healthcare Information Integration Network (CHIIN) ( http://chiin.org ); we're a non-profit offering a free-for-use automated SMS messaging service for community health workers in rural areas to have access to up-to-date medical reference information without need for internet connectivity. We are currently active in Nigeria, specifically in Gombe State, with some early plans to initiate programs in Kaduna and Kano State. In general, I'm interested in global health, strategies for rural healthcare access in Africa, digital health technology, and (outside of these directly relevant interests) cardiovascular disease, bioengineering, drug delivery, and gene therapy/therapeutic genome editing. Happy to discuss our work or anything else with anyone interested. Looking forward to learning from you all!

Best,

Sayo
