Patient's record - Personal health booklet (4) Health Literacy, digital access by patients to their records and patient activation (3)

21 October, 2021

Neil has pointed out that work that I have cited about sharing medical records relates to digital records and not to paper ones.

We had very helpful discussions with the UK GMC, UNESCO genomic ethics group and many other agencies about the ethics of sharing notes with patients. The prevailing view was that the ethics of sharing records

applied equally to paper and to digital records.

I have records of the conversations and consultations if parties are interested.
