I have been following with interest the discussion on the issue of improving of care at the facility level.
One of the most important aspect of improving the quality of care amongst Front line Health workers is leadership skills of the middle level managers of the facilities.
Unlike facilities being owned and managed by Private individuals, Public Health Facilities Managers lack on the job training programme that is dedicated to addressing issues of quality of care especially in LMIC Countries.
To achieve quality of care at facility level, I suggest that Middle level to senior management level Health workers should be undergoing periodic and compulsory training programme on Health facility Management, monitoring and evaluation courses.
Thanks and regards.
