Introducing New Global Health Immersion Programs for Faculty and Students in Costa Rica
CFHI is launching new Global Health & Planetary Health community-based learning in collaboration with the Interamerican Center for Global Health (CISG). We are offering two new programs for students and trainees in Costa Rica: a 3-week “Planetary Health: Perspectives from Costa Rica <https://www.cfhi.org/planetary-health-perspectives-from-costa-rica>” program which will focus on climate change, emerging infectious diseases, natural and manmade disasters, air quality, and food security and a 1-Week Spring Break Seminar, “Oral Health in Costa Rica: From Global to Local

Teach Global Health - Registration Now Open for Summer Institute
Join us for an intensive 3-D workshop on June 16-18, 2020 to strengthen your global health module, course, or curriculum and to prepare your students to be globally educated citizens for a complex world. The Summer Institute for Undergraduate Curriculum and Course Design provides a rich opportunity to gain skills related to course design, curricular assessment, and experiential learning. programs are perfect for students who want to experience a global health immersion, but may not have the time to commit to a longer program. We
offer 4 programs in Mexico, Hawai'i and Costa Rica. For students seeking longer transformative training opportunities, our 4+ Week Immersion Programs

The AMSA Global Health Scholarship <https://www.cfhi.org/amsa-global-health-scholarship> provides a $1000 scholarship to an undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate AMSA member who plans on participating in a CFHI program. The award will go toward a CFHI Global Health Immersion program of 4 weeks or more.
The European Young Leaders in Global Health Fellowship <https://www.cfhi.org/european-young-leaders-in-global-health-fellowship> is awarded to a recent graduate and a European citizen or resident who best demonstrates CFHI's motto 'Let the World Change You'. The $1,000 award will go toward a CFHI Global Health Immersion program of 4 weeks or more. Deadline: February 1, 2020
The Thomas Hall Spring Break Seminar Scholar Program <https://www.cfhi.org/cfhi-thomas-hall-spring-break-seminar-scholars-prog... provides $1500 to an undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate trainee who plans to participate in a CFHI program. This Program recognizes rising leaders in global health who are dedicated to health equity, recognizes the power of education and capacity building, and challenge the status quo. The award will go toward a CFHI Global Health Immersion program of 4 weeks or more. The deadline is February 15, 2020.
In alignment with our commitment to delivering the best global health programs, we are excited to present CFHI Global Health Immersion Scholarship

This $1500 award goes to undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate trainees from LMIC/Global South seeking Global Health Education opportunities, South-South engagement, and perspectives of our US-based programming. The deadline to apply is February 15, 2020.
