The SHOPS Plus project, USAID’s flagship initiative in private sector health, will host a four-part series of capstone webinars June 16-July 14 to reflect on global investments and field programs with USAID Missions.
Private health care providers are often the first source of priority health products and services for family planning, child health, HIV and other areasyet they are often not effectively engaged in the health system. To increase access to health information and improve health outcomes, it is critical to enhance public-private engagement.
The project focused on improving access to priority family planning, child health, and HIV products and services.
The first three webinars will highlight achievements and lessons over the past six years. They will cover broad areas that affect access to health services through the private sector: stewardship, financing, and health markets. In the final webinar, SHOPS Plus experts will reflect on the project’s results, their implications, and what the future holds.
