BMJ EBM Journal Call for papers: Teaching of evidence-based health care (2) Article processing charges

4 December, 2019

Dear Joseph

Thank you for sharing this call for paper. This seems interesting and useful

But I am pretty sure that ALL the papers and research published in this special issue will exclusively from the higher-income countries and the findings would have little relevance to the practice of EBM in the developing countries (which make up the majority of the world population)

Apologies for being so cynical but the Article processing charges will make sure that researchers based in LMIC (myself included) will not even consider publishing in this journal

The APC after the 50% discount are enough to deter anyone from an LMIC without institutional support to send a manuscript for this special issue
