It monitors prescribing and resistance in hospitals worldwide since 2015.
3 surveys per year, any hospital worldwide can participate. 800 institutions in 80+ countries so far have participated in at least one survey, so the databse has >200,000 patients
The aim is to change antimicrobial prescribing practices and measure the impact of intervention through repeated PPSs.
Lead investigator = Professor Herman Goosens, Medical microbiology vaccine & infectious disease institute, University of Antwerp.
