Dear Joy,
Thank you for your message and invitation to complete the survey. I have completed the survey and am very interested to engage further if this would be useful. 'Applying the evidence base for implementation and improve the equitable, scalable, and sustainable implementation of evidence-based health-care interventions, especially in LMICs' is what CHIFA is all about in relation to child health, and what HIFA (our sister forum) is all about in relation to health generally. Our premise is that the general public, health workers, policymakers do not currently have access to the relevant, actionable, reliable health information they need to protect their own health and the health of others. This is dependent on the integrity of the global evidence ecosystem, which continues to be dysfunctional. https://www.hifa.org/about-hifa/hifa-vision-mission-strategy
Evidence-based Implementation is a complex topic that requires multidisciplinary input. Such input can be partly provided through a static online survey, as you are doing. But I would argue that a dynamic discussion around the issues on a community of practice such as CHIFA and HIFA would bring a more nuanced and diverse experience and expertise.
HIFA and CHIFA have considerable experience since 2008 in running Projects centred around in-depth thematic discussions to explore topics on behalf of sponsors including Elsevier Foundation, Global Health Academy at the University of Edinburgh, Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, The Lancet, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Nagasaki University, TDR, and the World Health Organization. More recently we have introduced what we call 'Research-based HIFA Projects' that are integrated within larger international research consortia and (potentially) Lancet Commissions. Our Projects page www.hifa.org/projects provides more information about how these work, with testimonials from our current sponsors.
If HIFA/CHIFA can contribute to the work of the Commission, please let us know: admin@hifa.org
With thanks, Neil
