Furthering group B strep research and disease prevention

2 May, 2025

Dear colleagues,

I would like to invite those of you involved in furthering group B strep (GBS) disease prevention and related research as researchers, healthcare professionals, or professional health advocates/academics (students are welcome, too!) to become a member of GBS Research Connect at https://www.gbsresearchconnect.org. We would be honored for your collaboration to better understand GBS and how it can affect the health of populations at all stages of life.

Individual memberships are free and include access to our upcoming webinar “Group B Strep: Pregnancy & One Health in Brazil” on Tuesday, 6 May at 11AM BRT (UTC -3) to learn from our presenters who will be sharing their work to further the understanding of group B strep and how it affects the populations in their communities as well as globally:

Dr Tatiana Pinto, Streptococcus Laboratory (IMPG, UFRG, Brazil) | GBS Screening in Pregnant Individuals in Brazil: Prevalence Data and Genomic Insights from Two Decades of Surveillance

Dr Laura Oliveira, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro | Group B Streptococcus beyond the neonatal infections: landscape under a One Health perspective

Once your membership is approved, you’ll be able to register for the webinar, have access to our mentor and mentee directories, forums, networking, and more!

Looking forward to you joining us!

Marti
