Introduction: Muhammad Meyguni, Iran: Improving health systems

20 July, 2025

Dear HIFA Team,

Hi, I'm Muhammad Amin Soleiman Meyguni, a nursing student at Shahid Beheshti University with an unexpected passion - fixing healthcare's hidden problems.

I started my clinical rotations thinking great healthcare was just about skilled doctors and caring nurses. Then reality hit - I saw brilliant teams constantly fighting the system instead of focusing on patients. Medications stuck in paperwork purgatory. Nurses drowning in administrative tasks. Families frustrated by endless waits. That's when it clicked: the best medical care in the world gets crippled by bad processes.

Now I'm on a personal mission to change that. When I'm not at the bedside, you'll find me geeking out over patient flow dashboards, studying how top hospitals streamline their operations, and learning from leaders who've successfully fixed these systemic issues. Because here's what I believe: every minute spent fighting broken systems is a minute stolen from patient care.
