Please join us for an important conversation with Omer Bartov and Alex de Waal on understanding and responding to the Conflict in Gaza. No profession bears witness to the impact of war on children more so than pediatricians, and none have a greater responsibility to respond. As we face the challenge of doing so, in the context of a growing consensus that a genocide is occurring in Gaza, and the reality that famine and starvation are unfolding, it is imperative that we be informed by experts who can help us understand and form our response.
Omer Bartov is an Israeli-American scholar and Dean’s Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Brown University. He has written widely on war crimes and genocide.
Alex de Waal is executive director of the World Peace Foundation and Research Professor at the Fletcher School, Tufts University. He has worked on the Horn of Africa, and on famine, conflict, and related issues since the 1980s as a researcher and practitioner.
Thank you in advance for your participation.
Please disseminate this invitation as widely as possible.
