Collaboration Request – Publication Support for the Global Mental Health Symposium (GMHSY 2025)

8 October, 2025

Dear HIFA Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

My name is *Dr. Marileine KEMME*, a *physician and addiction practitioner*, and the head of *Centre La Vie*, a community-based mental health and addiction support centre in Yaoundé, Cameroon. I am a *HIFA member*.

I am currently leading the organization of the *second edition of the Global Mental Health Symposium (GMHSY 2025)*, to be held at the *Central Hospital of Yaoundé (Cameroon)* under the theme *“Nurturing hope from birth: acting together for positive mental health.”*

This symposium brings together researchers, health professionals, policymakers, and civil society actors to strengthen dialogue and action around mental health systems in Africa.

In this context, we would be deeply honored to *partner with HIFA* for the *publication or dissemination of the Symposium’s abstracts* on your platform. Such collaboration would not only give greater visibility to African research and field experiences but also contribute to bridging the gap between evidence and action in global mental health.

I would be happy to share further details about the Symposium and explore possible modalities for this collaboration.

Thank you for your attention, and for the inspiring work HIFA continues to do in advancing global mental health.

Warm regards,

*Dr. Marileine KEMME*
