My name is Elon Danziger, and I am Director of Software Development at Global Strategies. I lead the design and engineering of NoviGuide, a clinical decision support platform designed for neonatal, pediatric, and other clinicians in under-resourced settings. Deployed first as a research project and now as an active program in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, NoviGuide is a tablet-based application that clinicians have used voluntarily in-clinic more than 500,000 times.
The platform gives nurses quick access to evidence-based guidelines through short, danger-sign-driven patient assessments, along with interactive features like dosage calculations and automatically generated patient notes — tools clinicians have told us make a real difference in daily practice.
It’s been fascinating to work on developing and scaling digital clinical decision support in low-resource settings, working closely with health champions in both countries.
