Many people with 'even moderately liberal opinions' have indeed left X and opened a Bluesky account. But many have not abandoned X, including the World Health Organization and the World Association of Medical Editors: @WAMedEditors
WHO's account is very active while WAME's appears to be inactive.
HIFA's X account has until recently been our largest with around 3700 follwers. Thanks to our dynamic LinkedIn team, our LI account recently overtook X with more than 4000 followers.
Personally, I would welcome the possibility of a HIFA Bluesky account if we can identify a volunteer to lead on this as part of our social media team. We could then run Bluesky in parallel with X, with a view to discontinue X sooner or later.
