Dear the team at CHIFA,
I hope you are well.
I'm reaching out to inform you about the launch of the Newborn Toolkit's 2026 essay competition in collaboration with GFCNI, which is taking respondents to answer the question: “How can we make follow-up care for small and sick newborns work with families at the centre of practice?”. There will be two winning essays, one in English and one in French. We are accepting submissions until 23:00 GMT on the 27th October 2026. The winners of this year's competition will be presented at our fifth birthday webinar on 17<https://newborntoolkit.org/webinars/toolkit-5th-birthday-webinar>th<http... November 2026<https://newborntoolkit.org/webinars/toolkit-5th-birthday-webinar>.
Please visit the Newborn Toolkit website for more information on the essay contest, prizes for the winning submissions, and further guidelines<https://newborntoolkit.org/news/small-and-sick-newborn-care-essay-contes....
I was wondering if it would be possible to disseminate information regarding the 2026 Newborn Toolkit essay competition to the CHIFA mailing list. I believe there will be a number of interested teams on this list who may wish to submit to the competition or know other teams in their network that might.
I've also attached a promotional graphics for the essay competition should this be of use in promotion. There is a general graphic alongside graphics optimised for use on LinkedIn + Facebook. You can find social posts promoting the essay competition on the following platforms:
