Introduction: Said Ariyandi, health information management, Indonesia

18 October, 2026

Dear HIFA colleagues,

My name is Said Ariyandi, a licensed medical records and health information professional (A.Md.RMIK) from Makassar, Indonesia.

I have worked at a government hospital handling ICD-10/ICD-9 CM coding, hospital information system (SIMRS) operations, and national health data reporting through SIRS Online. I recently completed the Health Informatics Specialization on Coursera and the ICD-11 Training Package from PAHO.

I joined HIFA to learn from colleagues around the world about how reliable health information supports quality of care and public health surveillance, especially in low-resource settings. I would also be glad to share perspectives from the medical records and health data reporting side in Indonesia.

I look forward to learning from you all.

Best regards,

Said Ariyandi
