Dear Frank and all,
Thank you for your valuable and interesting contributions to the discussion so far.
You said: "If I could offer one recommendation, it is that reliable cervical-cancer information travels best through a trusted local messenger attached to the care women already reach"
This point comes through repeatedly among those involved in health education and patient engagement. The availability of trusted, familiar health workers in your clinics in Dominican Republic provide a foundation for this. Could you say something about how such health workers are supported to provide health education? Is this typically part of the clinician encounter and/or do you also have in-house or outreach education activities?
I note that you "tried to establish health education for school-aged girls... but found few takers on the women’s-health side". You may be interested to check out a HIFA supporting organisation called Children for Health www.hifa.org/support/supporting-organisations/children-health
Many thanks, Neil
