Dear Claire and all,
Many thanks for your warm introduction and, on behalf of HIFA, it's great to be working with you on this project. www.hifa.org/cervicalcancer
I share your interest in 'how we can better bridge global policies and priorities with the realities of people's everyday lives' and the need to start 'with listening, being curious and recognizing just how much we can learn from one another'. I hope that HIFA can continue to play a small part in bringing people together in this way.
And I echo your words: "I'm really looking forward to hearing the different perspectives and experiences shared through this discussion, particularly around what helps women access reliable information, screening and treatment, and what challenges may stand in their way. Whether you have personal experiences to share, work in this area, or are simply interested in learning more, I hope you'll feel encouraged to join the conversation."
Thanks to all those who have already contributed. We have already heard from Dominican Republic, India (X4), Indonesia, Kenya, Somalia, as well as Germany, Switzerland, UK, and US. Each message helps us collectively to build a picture. Insights from the discussion will be brought together in a report to help shape future advocacy and knowledge products that support efforts to improve uptake of cervical cancer screening and treatment to accelerate progress towards the 2030 elimination targets.
