2022-2025 ICATCH Cycle now OPEN

16 November, 2021

Dear CHIFA members,

Funding available for colleagues working in child health in developing countries.

The American Academy of Pediatrics' ICATCH (International Community Access to Child Health) 2022-2025 Grant Cycle is now open for Preliminary Applications.https://www.aap.org/en/community/aap-sections/global-health/icatch/<http...

Please help us spread the word about this opportunity by reaching out to your colleagues working in low and low-middle income countries. The Call for Proposals can be viewed online here<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdownlo....

The deadline for the short Preliminary Application is Friday, December 10, 2021. So there is still plenty of time to develop a good short preliminary application!

ICATCH grants are $2000/year for 3 years and funding begins July 1, 2022.

Applicants need NOT be pediatricians-CHWs, nurses, physical therapists, etc. are welcome to apply.

Funding is not for research - we are eager to support small, simple but sustainable efforts that improve child health.

For the 2022-2025 ICATCH Cycle we have 2 new focus areas-Nutrition/Malnutrition and Care of Hospitalized Children in addition to three from the last cycles:

1. Physical or Developmental Disabilities in Children includes developmental delay, early childhood development, or physical disabilities which are congenital or acquired. Projects that include screening must also include treatment or therapy for the disability.

2. Childhood or Adolescent Mental Health (preschool to age 21 years)

3. Newborn Health (projects must focus on the newborn period; can follow infants up to 6 months of age)

4. Nutrition/Malnutrition (for infants 6 months and older through age 21 years). This can include both community and hospital-based programs.

5. Care of Hospitalized Children (infants to age 21 years).

Final (invited) applications are due in March, 2022.

For questions, please reach out to Ms. Sherri Smith, icatch@aap.org<mailto:icatch@aap.org>

We look forward to reading your applications!
