Advocacy on infant formula advertising (29)

Hi,

There is a lot of advocacy and working groups focusing in this field. yet nothing seems to change.

A while ago, a project funded by GATES, tried to open a dialogue with the formula companies and this also seems to have disappeared.

When it comes down to it, money is the key driver and unless all companies comply, then it will not work as one will not want to lose their market share.

Laws are good, but only if there is a severe consequences as fines will not bother them.

I do not have an answer, but maybe a group discussion to try to find some 'out of the box' ideas to control this, might be useful.
