There is mounting evidence that AI transcription of the verbal consultations releases a quarter of the time allotted for a consultation. This would have helped me greatly when I was a family doctor. I would have the equivalent of the time for one whole extra consultation an per person. Patients can check the contents of the transcribed consultation with record access. Links and AI can furnish suitable information, knowledge, and understanding for the patient. The patient is then in a better position to give informed consent and to apply any prescribed therapy or advice.
