Health care associated infections (HAIs) and AMR are unrecognized and neglected global health problems that are responsible for millions of death annually. According to the World Health Organization, 60% of deaths occur in the hospital due to poor quality of care rather than at home due to lack of care. So the risk of care in a health facility is more than at home mostly due to HAI and AMR. Unfortunately infection prevention and control remains poor in many health facilities, especially in developing countries.
