Dear Colleagues,
Children lack adequate medical care due to lack of specialists to work in our District Hospitals. Lack of medical supplies like equipment and medication is another handicap.The availability of these supplies will improve on quality of care. Children have been dying of malaria, diarrhoea, malnutrition and other childhood diseases like pneumonia HIV/AIDS.Child growth and development is retarded and immediate action is needed to reverse the situation.The few medical staff lack training and there is need to build their capacities so as to empower them with skills and knowledge that will improve quality of care and reduce the mortality and morbidity rate..The conflict has rendered many children to be displaced and are living in very poor conditions without care or shelter. Food insecurity is increasing at an alarming rate..There is also need for gynaecologists/obstetricians. Thanks
