Call for Papers for a new book “Global Climate Change, Public Health, and Energy.” {*see note below]
We invite contributions for an upcoming book titled “Global Climate Change, Public Health, and Energy” to be published by Springer Nature, as part of the Climate Change Management Series (https://www.springer.com/series/8740), which is the world´s leading peer-reviewed book series on matters related to climate change, with over 40 books produced to date.
This volume will explore how global climate change, public health, and energy sustainability can be achieved through studying and discussing sustainable strategies that reduce vulnerability, improve energy efficiency, promote public health, invest in climate-resilient public and energy infrastructure, and other sustainable pathways.
We welcome papers that address, but are not limited to, the following topics:
1. Global climate change, public health, and energy mitigation and adaptation
2. Challenges and opportunities for global health amidst climate change
3. Case studies for global climate change, public health, and energy management
4. Global climate change, public health and energy: from science to practice.
5. Global Policies accelerating equitable accessibility to sustainable energy,
6. The sustainability of energy security and food security amidst climate change
7. Revisiting global climate change policy for
8. Pathways and possible solutions for sustainability and resilient global health and energy
9. Crafting synergies for socio-economic sustainable energy and public health
10. Human settlement, public health, and energy crisis
11. Preparedness, Responsiveness, and Recovery amidst climate change, impacts on public health, and energy problems
Submission Guidelines
Abstracts (300 words) should be submitted by 01 August (extended deadline).
Full papers (between 6,000 and 7,000 words) will be due by 30 November 2025
All submissions should adhere to the APA referencing style.
Papers will undergo a peer review process before publication. The peer-reviewed nature of the publication means that it has, over the years, officially counted for tenure and promotion purposes. Also, hundreds of doctoral students have successfully used their publications in the series as part of their PhD Outputs.

James is a member of the Research4life User Group. He is also a Country Expert (Uganda & Rwanda) for Varieties of Democracy (V-DEM), University of Gothenburg, Sweden, since 2020. An Executive Director of African Forum for International Relations in Research and Development (AFIRRD). A member of the African Climate Policy Centre (ACPC) & United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). James holds a Ph.D. in Diplomacy & International Affairs. James’ research interests span; International Organizations (IOs), particularly their conceptual prescriptions to the developing world; non-government organizations (NGOs) and their socio-political work in the developing world; and global climate policy and health dynamics, diplomacy and negotiations. He is an International Research and Project Assistant, EUCLID University, An Editorial Board Member, International Peer-Reviewed Journals and Books (IPRJB), USA. He is a reviewer at Global Council for Science and the Environment (GCSE), Washington DC; and VOLUNTAS: International Journal of Voluntary and Non-profit Organizations.
