Dear Colleague,
One of the greatest barriers for researchers in low- and middle-income countries is the cost of publishing. Therefore, I am pleased to announce the launch of Betta Health Equity, a new open-access journal dedicated to advancing rigorous, impactful research on health equity. This initiative aims to elevate underrepresented voices and catalyze real-world change through scholarship.
At the Betta Health Equity Journal, it is at the core of the ethos that your work should be read, and not restricted by paywalls. As part of the commitment to equity and inclusion, the Journal is offering free publication for authors from Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) until December 2025.
Why publish with Betta Health Equity?
- No article processing charges for LMIC authors
- Rapid peer review and editorial decisions
- Global visibility through open access
- Inclusive scope covering social determinants of health, health disparities research, interventions for equity, and policy and practice
Submissions in areas listed below are welcomed:
- Social determinants of health
- Health disparities and marginalized populations
- Equity-focused interventions
- Policy, systems, and practice innovations
The Journal accepts Original Research, Reviews, Commentaries, and Perspectives. Whether you're an early-career researcher or a seasoned scholar, you are invited to contribute to this growing platform for equity-centered inquiry.
