Call for volunteers: CHIFA moderation team

4 February, 2023

Dear Tony and all,

Thank you for circulating the latest ISSOP newsletter: https://www.issop.org/2023/02/02/issop-e-bulletin-no-61-january-2023/

The Yanomami report and photos are shocking. It would be interesting to hear from our Brazil colleagues.

I would like to add my call for new volunteers to help moderate this forum. As Tony says, this is an enjoyable role that 'will broaden your horizons and fulfil a vitally important task - bringing new information to thousands of child health workers across the world'.

Tony himself has been a member of CHIFA since we started back in 2006, and has been the lead moderator since 2011. He leads a team of 3-4 moderators, who take turns to moderate the forum. The workload is very low (typically measured in mintes per month rather than hours) and full training is provided.

We anticipate interesting times ahead as we are now in official relations with WHO through the Global Healthcare Information Network.

If you would like to help, please contact Tony: tony.waterston@newcastle.ac.uk

Best wishes, Neil
