*Cervical cancer (14) Q4: Can you share an example where information or misinformation influenced someone’s decision to seek or avoid cervical cancer screening or treatment? (1) Pain during colposcopic biopsy

19 October, 2026

Hi

I would like to share one example related to

q 4. Can you share an example where information or misinformation influenced someone’s decision to seek or avoid cervical cancer screening or treatment? [*see note below]

We have seen that those who undergo follow-up procedures like colposcopic biopsy have pain during the procedure. When others hear this information, they get worried about either screening or attending follow-up.
