Hello everyone, I’m Sabrina Zucchello from UICC, the Union for International Cancer Control, based in Geneva. I work on our women’s cancers portfolio, with a particular focus on supporting organisations and professionals working to advance cervical cancer elimination.
I’m very pleased to join this group and look forward to learning from the different experiences and perspectives shared here, and to contributing insights from UICC’s work with the cancer community.
As a starting point, I wanted to share UICC’s Cervical Cancer Advocacy Handbook <https://www.uicc.org/news-and-updates/resources/cervical-cancer-advocacy..., which may be relevant to some of the issues we will explore through this discussion. It was developed to support civil society organisations and advocacy coalitions in advancing cervical cancer prevention, screening and treatment, with practical guidance on coalition building, advocacy strategies and messaging.
I look forward to the discussion and to sharing other relevant resources and experiences along the way.
With kind regards,
Sabrina
