*Cervical cancer (6) Introduction: Emily Suzuki - Examples of information that influence people’s decisions to seek cervical cancer screening and treatment

15 October, 2026

Hello, my name is Emily Suzuki, and I support the Cervical Cancer Elimination Initiative at the World Health Organization.

My interest in cervical cancer began in 2023, when I worked on issues related to the HPV vaccination lawsuits in Japan while working at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. I am currently supporting the Cervical Cancer Elimination Initiative, with a particular focus on screening and treatment.

I am especially interested in learning about examples of information that influence people’s decisions to seek cervical cancer screening and treatment.

I look forward to our discussion. [ www.hifa.org/cervicalcancer ]
