Children and Wearing Mask - COVID-19 [7]

11 July, 2020

Hi Tony!

I read through the UK government guideline. What would be the rationale behind 'not' having school children or teachers wear a mask, especially given that consistent social distancing in schools is unlikely?

If a given student ‘feels a little warm’ in the morning, but Mum is rushing off to work and sends the student to school, wouldn't a mask for this student protect her peers from her respiratory droplets while she is at school with coronavirus, as yet undiagnosed?

Thanks,
