Children and Wearing Masks - COVID-19 (14)

17 July, 2020

The CGD has a session discussing school reopening right now and you can watch it later in the same link https://www.cgdev.org/event/when-schools-reopen-what-are-priorities-educ...

From my personal experience, my 8 ad 14 year olds and I flew on a long flight recently and they both wore their masks for 20 hours straight just fine. But they had to be reminded constantly to pull it up and not touch their faces. So in a school setting it would so much harder for one teacher to police 20-30 kids. Ultimately, smaller classes is the solution for kids and teachers, useful not only in a pandemic but in normal times for best learning outcomes.
