I also live in India (Odisha)and the lack of coordination across health care facilities causes so much pain and distress and ultimately increased morbidity and mortality. As clinicians we need to have good, robust and

non- monetary orientated connections with clinicians in referring hospitals to ensure referrals to tertiary care occurs well. This is what I do but it is up to each clinician to care enough to do for their patients. A more

coordinated response would be so helpful in India. Thanks for sharing your concerns.
