Dear HIFA Supporting Organisations and HIFA family at large,
I hope this email finds you well. It is a little bit of a late Introduction, but here goes...
I am Dr. Sri Hari Govind (Hari), your newly appointed Supporting Organisation Coordinator at HIFA. It is my absolute pleasure to take on this role and hoping to be able to assist you and HIFA in being able to achieve its objectives. So please feel free to contact me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org for any concerns or queries.
Additionally I will be at COP this year at Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from Nov 5th to Nov 19th engaging in health implications of loss and damage and the climate-health (youth) agenda. So in case you too will be at COP27, I would love to catch up (maybe over coffee, I'm hearing Egypt has really good coffee).
HIFA profile: Hari is a doctor, just out of medical school from India. He currently works as a Climate-Health Fellow for the Global Consortium of Climate and Health Education, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. In his additional capacity he serves as Youth Advisor to Children, Cities and Climate Action Lab, London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine, Integration and Protection Lead in the Migration Working Group at UN MGCY, Asia Lead at Commonwealth-Health and Director at YCGHR, a youth-led Global Health Think Tank. His main interests lie in public health, climate change and DRR as he hopes to work on breaking the silos that exist between them. He is currently the Global Coordinator for HIFA Supporting Organisations. https://www.hifa.org/support/members/sri-hari Email: srihari17govind AT gmail.com
